General Rules

  • Regular and punctual attendance is firmly insisted upon, and no leave of absence is given without prior application in writing from the guardian/ parents. Students who have been absent from classes must have a reason for their absence and should be briefly noted in the school diary by their parents/ guardian.
  • Students remaining continuously absent for more than a month without giving any previous information are liable to be excluded from the class and in such cases, re-admission has to be sought.
  • Habitual late comers will be sent back home.
  • No student is allowed to leave the school premises during the school hours without the permission of the Principal or Vice Principal and this leave will be sanctioned on the basis of a 'letter of request' from the parents / guardian of the student. No Half-Day leave will be given. Photo ID of the parent will be checked while handover of the student.
  • Students will be responsible for the safe custody of their own books and belongings. School diaries and ID cards must be brought to school every day. Loss of diary and ID card is subject to replacement with fine.
  • Wearing costly ornaments, wrist watches, bringing costly pens, cell phones, any electronic goods or money are not permissible. A heavy fine will be imposed in case of any damage to school property.
  • English must be spoken in the school premises.
  • The students, whose attendance falls short of the stipulated 75% throughout the session, will be debarred from appearing in the School Annual Examination as well as the Board Examination as per the C.B.S.E. Rules.
  • The students should clear all dues before filling up the examination forms / term end examination.
  • There is no provision of Special Test or Retest for the absentee students.
  • All parents / guardians are requested to ensure that their wards do not fail to attend school functions and activities, Independence Day celebration, Annual sports, Republic Day Celebration etc., failing which, the ward(s) may not be allowed to continue his/ her studies in the Institution.
  • Parents/Guardians are requested to meet the Principal according to the timings, but they are not allowed to interrogate/interview any teacher during school hours without the permission of the Principal.
  • Private tuition by the teachers of Khalsa Model Senior Secondary School to the students of this school is strictly prohibited.
  • A student failing in class at the end of the year does not remain on the rolls unless his/ her parents/ guardians notify to the Principal that he/ she wishes his/ her ward to continue his/ her studies in the School in the same class.
  • Parents/Guardians are advised not to send a sick child to the school.
  • Students suffering from infectious diseases will not be permitted to attend their classes until they are medically fit. They will have to produce a fitness certificate of a competent doctor before joining the classes. The same may be verified by the school doctor.
  • Tips or any other gratification must not be offered to any member of the school community.
  • Every student is given an ID card from the school at the beginning of the session. They must bring it every day. Loss of ID card is subject to a fine of Rs 100/- for re-issue.
  • Bringing mobile phone or any other costly items such as camera, wrists watch etc. to the school is strictly prohibited. If found it will be confiscated and will be returned after the Completion of the academic year to the parents/ guardians.
  • A small amount (less than Rs. 50/-) may be bought for canteen purchases.

PAYMENT OF FEES

  • Fees to be paid quarterly. The Bank will receive school fees quarterly from 1st to 15th April/ July/ October/ January each year.
  • The fee-books should be sent to the class teacher after 16th of April/ July/ October/ January for updating and the same will be returned to the student.
  • Late fine of Rs. 500/- per quarter to be included along with the particular quarter's fee if not paid within the scheduled period of 15th of the month of the quarter as fixed by the School.
  • Late fine of Rs 800/- if fees paid after 30th or 31st of the month of the quarter.
  • Parents / Guardian are requested to write very clearly - Name, Class, Section, Roll No. & Quarter without mistake.
  • On loss of a fee-book, duplicate fee books can be issued on payment of Rs. 50/-(Rupees fifty only) each.
  • Prior to the commencement of the final exam all dues (Fees upto March) must be cleared. The defaulter will not be allowed to appear in the exam and the result will be withheld.
  • Please tender the exact amount. (Bank refers to Punjab & Sind Bank, Dunlop Branch at the School)
  • If there is any damage to the School Property, according to the School Rules, indiscipline fines shall be imposed from time to time and added to the fee-book.
  • Parents must check the school website regularly for any circulars and notices.

9:00 am to 1:10 pm

For Classes I to III

9:00 am to 1:50 pm

For Classes IV to XII

9:00 am to 3:00 pm

 

  • No outsiders are permitted from 11:30am to 12:30 pm
  • Main gate will be closed at 9:00 am sharp for Kindergarten and Classes I to XII.
